We’ve worked with River Raider Off-Road / Hauk Designs on several projects to date. The first was a resurrected Jeep named The Phoinix Project, initially found in a New Jersey scrap heap courtesy of Hurricane Sandy and brought back to life by Kenny and his crew (See HERE). The second was a “Frankenstein” vehicle creation that housed a 600 horsepower, 24-valve Cummins diesel engine and packed 1000 foot-pounds of torque (aptly named The Torque Project – See HERE).
As incredible as those builds were, this one absolutely BLOWS THEM AWAY. I mean, seriously just watch this quick trailer and tell me this is not the coolest vehicle concept you’ve ever seen in your life?
Our role was to document the build process from beginning to end, filming Kenny and his extremely talented crew as they worked through the build, describing various parts and methods used to put the Tomahauk together. The most unique aspect of this vehicle is that many of the stock parts (including everything from the radio to the steering wheel to the gauges, seat-belts, and soooo much more) were replaced with parts initially found on various World War II era military vehicles and planes. In the end, they were able to transform a normal JK Wrangler into a fully functional military killing machine (OK maybe it doesn’t kill……but it sure looks like it could).
This was by far our most unique River Raider project to date as there were several additional elements included in the video aside from the build process itself. Voiceover master Jon Bailey (as seen in the above video – from nationally known Honest Trailers) was impressed enough to lend his voice to the video, as well as a creative hip-hop artist in Las Vegas producing a completely original song for the video. (Do I seriously get to do this for a living?) There were so many different levels to this video you’ll just have to watch it for yourself.
